Last night, it was ham steaks, eggs, tater tots, and peas. Tonight, it's boiled cabbage, potatoes, and ham steak.

With the ham steaks, I did what I frequently do; I bought a pack of ham steaks, pulled out two, then tossed the rest in the freezer without separating them. Went to have ham steaks later and had to defrost the remainder, and now we're eating through them. Tomorrow might be ham steak and egg biscuits. :)

I made a standard blueberry sauce for later. I've doubled the sugar, and it's still as sour as sloe.

The last of the ham steak, diced and scrambled in eggs with onion, tomato, and Swiss cheese. Served over toast with sausages on the side and a mug of tea.

From-scratch sloppy joes with a citrusy red cabbage and carrot slaw.

A lesson in why you should always follow the recipe (if it's from a trusted source):

The recipe said to break up the beef and cook using a wooden spoon. Well, I grabbed a plastic spatula, figuring it would mince up the beef better.

Added the sauces, spices, and began to aggressively mix it when I caught the spatula on a rivet in the pan, just enough to cause it to fling sloppy joe sauce all over my stove and the back wall. :(

I'm making pulled pork in the pressure cooker (first attempt at this, but I am using a tried-and-true spice rub recipe), and I made cole slaw to go with.

Tomorrow I'm planning to make gnocchi with roasted cherry tomatoes.

Mrs. Force10 made brownies yesterday and made a huge mess in the kitchen. Normally the dishes are my job, but since the mess went beyond the dishes I was like "you're cleaning that up, right?". The brownies are tasty though.

Italian sausages, white beans, and broccoli, all roasted in one pan. It was supposed to be broccoli rabe, but I don't like that stuff, so I used broccoli.

Last night, we had a salad and baked potatoes topped with bruschetta and feta.

This morning, it was my usual weekend breakfast of fried eggs, hash browns, bacon, and toast.
