Hi all, I've lived in Cincinnati, Ohio for a few years (I'm from Louisville and I miss it) and I have absolutely NO friends in Cinci at all. I moved here to be with my something-more-than-bf but not yet fiance. He does not have friends here either but is mostly ok with that. It seems like every time I've met someone locally something about me puts them off. I can only guess it's being childfree and/or atheist. It seems super-religious around here.
We mainly like to go out to eat and the occasional movie. We're mostly homebodies in our spare time, watching movies and playing games. Any childfree nerds??

We're about 30 min away from downtown Cincinnati. If you're ever in the area to visit IKEA or Jungle Jim's, or if you have fav restaurants around here let me know! It seems like people mainly come to Cinci for those first two, though.

Welcome! Isn't it awesome there's a community like this one?

Yes, indeed! It's nice to know that there ARE people like me. I was beginning to think I was the only one in the world that did not want kids. People sure make it seem like it.

Whoa! I had no idea there were so many people near Cincinnati! I live on the west side of Cincinnati (if anyone knows where the Western Hills/Bridgetown area is...?).
To marthacthulhu, my husband and I are avid video gamers. Actually, we own a two bedroom house and since we're not having kids we turned the second bedroom into our gaming room. Video game art, a bladed energy sword, figurines, and posters unite! The only thing is that we are Christian, but I've never had problems being friends with anyone was wasn't, and I don't try to convert. I've been friends with atheists, agnostics, and even a person who was Wiccan...hanging out only with people who see things the same is really boring. If you're willing to be friends with people of other religious views, I think we might actually have a few things in common. You mentioned Jungle Jim's in your second post...are you near Fairfield?
I'm excited to see a few people from Cincinnati here. I'm personally willing to do either an individual meeting or a couples thing, depending on what anyone else here wants to do.
We're in Fairfield. I think we'd get along pretty well LovingLife. We can be really socially awkward and usually go out as a couple.
Looked up Akron, that's way up there, Lyx!
