We got summer, just in time for Stampede. June did nothing but rain, and now it's going to be 30C + (around 90F) for the whole week. I'm going to Whistler on Friday, and I am stoked that the mountain bike trails will be dry, and there is no rain in the forecast. I might bake wearing full armor on the lift, but I'd rather that than pissing rain and wet roots and rocks.
My poor animals are lying around the house in a stupor.

I'm getting tired of seeing a "news story" about some little kid crying on the internet because they're favorite team lost or their favorite player was traded or signed with another team every freaking day.

What colors/prints are appropriate for both summer and fall?
Orange plus brown, or brown plus a dusty rose pink? The dress could be orange/pink, and accessories(like a belt, shoes, handbag) could be brown(or use a brown dress with orange/pink accessories). If you'd like to play it safe, a little black dress always comes in handy. You could even match your bag/jewelry/etc. With a color they have picked out.

I found a free budget calendar and it's working out really well. I needed something to help organize everything better, and this does just that. Makes life a little easier.

Viola - If one of the weddings will be in October, you might want to think about a jacket/shrug/pashmina to go with the dress... It could give you the seasonal flexibility, color-wise. Half the battle is finding something in the shops... For me, it's either too trendy/short/clingy or too old. I cheat and wear a suit.
I've had dinner off the same Rotisserie chicken for 4 days now (bought it on Friday). I think I've got my money's worth there...

I knew I could count on you ladies for some suggestions - thank you!
I just put on some acrylic nails for the first time in many, many years, and it's taking a lot of getting used to! I like how they make me look more polished, but it's gonna be an adjustment. And handling my contact lenses is gonna be a bitch, too

I came down with the flu over the weekend. Tonight I had another attack of nausea. I'm debating calling in sick to the office tomorrow and working from home. Worse than feeling sick, is feeling sick in your office and then having to brave the car ride home.

I hate it when you make a plan to go do something, and the person moves at a glacial pace to get ready. WTF? Do you not want to go? When i ask, it's "I'm almost ready." (no you aren't.) I've been waiting so long that I'm losing my momentum and getting to the point where I no longer want to go.
I'm sorry but this made me laugh. This has happened 3 times in the last two weeks. I'm ready to go but the three other people weren't so we just didn't even go. Although at the same time I'm mad because I was ready at the time they said to be in the car. Getting up at the butt crack of dawn only to waste it.

Anxiously awaiting this week to be over - I put in my time off sheets for Friday through Monday; my friend from Arizona is coming up this weekend, so I'm gonna get to see her on Friday, then Monday I took off just to give myself a 4-day weekend and to start burning through my paid time off days (we have to use 'em or lose 'em at my workplace). May go to the zoo with my man at some point too. Happy happy joy joy!
