Reading though my journals from my psychologists in the public healthcare system, I discovered that I mentioned my choice to be childfree already in 2006. But neither my psychologist back then, or later ones, pointed out the actual challenges that CF people have to deal with (loosing friends to parenthood etc.), or gave any advice on how I should handle the situation, i.e. seeking for like-minded people. (Which would have been the most rational thing to do.)

It turns out this mistake (or lack of knowledge about CF and/or other minority lifestyles) has contributed to mistreatment for a period of almost 10 years, as the diagnosis manual ICD-10 states that external factors (such as lifestyle and social environment) must be properly investigated before a diagnosis is set.

I have appealed the case to The Norwegian System of Patient Injury Compensation.

Does anyone here have similar experiences? If so, how did you handle it?
