Yeah, its pretty far, but if you are in the area, let me know. We can have an awkward, dorky double date.

Just saw this. We live in Wilmington, about an hour north of Cincy, but work in Cincy. We love to eat out, go to plays, stuff like that. Makes it hard living so far out, but we do what we can.

There's a lot of German culture in Cincy, so if you're into that, there's quite a bit going on, especially through word-of-mouth. For example, tonight I'm meeting up with a group of non-native German speakers to have a beer and practice a bit. In a couple of weeks, the monthly sausage buffet is taking place, that's a blast!

There are loads of German festivals, keg tappings, etc going on almost year-round, walks and other social events as well. Let me know if you're interested and I'll fil you in.

Just saw a blurb on local news (channel 12) that's right up your alley; apparently, there's a local social group called Cincinnati Imports that specifically exists for people who live in Cincy but aren't from here. It's actually open to anyone, but that's the focus. Looks like they'll be meeting next for happy hour at Arnold's on 8th street. Go!

I live in Cincinnati as well, on the East Side.

My fiancee and I are a lot like you, marthacthulhu, mostly homebodies, go out to an occasional dinner and a movie type. I'm an Atheist, fiancee is (I honestly have no idea what he is lol) is a mix between Christian and Agnostic- he's a mess lol- I think I'm leading him to the dark side . He plays stuff like Madden, I read a lot and have my TCLF addiction :D

PM me if you ever feel up for a double date!

I'm from Cincinnati. I read this thread & I'm not surprised just how few CFers there are over there. Wilmington is FAR from Cincinnati. I left on 10/2/2010 for good. I do miss Skyline Chili & am grateful my mother sends me cans of it a few times a year.
