Yahoo always loads as my homepage because that's the email I check the most, but I generally don't rad those articles. However, one did catch my eye a few months ago and I had to read - it was something like, "Judge Your Man By How He Manscapes!" - in a nutshell:

1. No manscaping - he's wild and free, but may also be stubborn
2. Neatens up the edges - has a good balance between his wishes and yours
3. Perfectly trimmed and maintained at all times/shaped - is conceited and a selfish lover
4. Completely shaved - pervert

LMFAO I can't believe that people are paid to write crap like that

The exact same reason I don't read Cosmo or Redbook. "50 sexy moves to make any man melt!" "The 3 words he's dying to hear from you. Hint: its not what you think!" or "Is he ready for marriage? Take our quiz and find out!"

Fuck you Cosmo, this isn't 1950 where women are expected to live and breathe men, marriage and the baby carriage.

I know all this is stupid crap but there was an article on msn which said " How to be the perfect man" and "How to be the perfect woman" I don't know but I was emotionally hurt by them, mainly because I did not meet the "perfect" mould which was identified. Plus they where both extremely sexist and hurtful.

Oh askmen.com is probably one of the worst offenders this side of Maxim. It's full of so much bullshit it makes a beef farm blush.

Aw, come on. I LOVE reading Maxim! It's almost as entertaining as Lamebook.

I used to subscribe to Cosmo (still have the magazines), but I cancelled my subscription because of the stupid, sexist advice they were giving to women, like telling them to change who they were just to get or keep a guy. I also hated the answers the guys interviewed in the mags gave when talking about women. They were basically complaining about what we do and making fun of us. The worst offender was a September 2000 article called "How to be a Guy's Girl," by this shmo named Shane Mooney, who told us that we needed to master men's typical desires like cars, steaks and heroes, sports, and action movies (and movies with busty women) if we wanted to be their type of girls. I finally had enough of their advice and wrote "CANCEL" on my renewal card. I decided it would be books for me from now on.

Cosmo is not a women's magazine. It's a magazine for men who want women who will cater to their every desire and for women who are desperate enough to do anything to get them.

Ugh, Cosmo! I used to read it when I was in my late teens, early 20s. What a waste of time. At least I eventually came to learn that its countless articles about how to cake on makeup, how to drive my man wild in bed, and where to buy $500 sweaters were nothing but pointless drivel.

I also dislike Glamour magazine for the same reasons.

i have a pile of them magazines that I read. Mainly for the educational articles like sometimes in cosmo they'll have an article about date rape. I totally ignore the crappy sex stuff. Its like you guys say.

I also find these types of advice articles annoying and occasionally sexist, whether they're on Yahoo, MSN, in printed magazines or where ever.

I'm annoyed by the ones that tell women that to keep a man happy (or to get a man), they need to change their manner of dress or hairstyle.

First of all, changing one's looks is not necessarily going to get one a partner/date, but secondly, women should be able to dress however they want.

I never see the males getting told to go join a gym, diet, lose weight, lose the beer get, and get some Rogaine to hide the baldness.

Some women are turned off by fatness, baldness, and whatever, but I don't see magazines giving men beauty tips on how to correct these sorts of issues to get dates (or get a wife, get a girlfriend).
