Haha - I totally do this too. Thought I was the only one! :P

I do that with one of these:

yes. right now I am paranoid. my period is over 10 days late this month.
even though the only type of sex I ever do is never involving intercourse (or even getting the male genitalia anywhere near mine), even though I am still technically a virgin because I religiously afraid of getting knocked up, even though I have never gotten near any damn potential sperm donor since my last period, now I can't stop thinking about immaculate conception.

I need to get my head checked.

I think my paranoia is abating some, I've gotten more secure in my ability to tell when I ovulate, so even though I was a week late this month, I didn't freak out because I knew I'd ovulated late.

I have no idea why, but my cycle just doesn't work the way the web sites say it's supposed to. Last month, I was pretty sure I ovulated on day 12, but I didn't get my period again until day 34. In theory, the part of the cycle between ovulation and menstruation is only supposed to be two weeks, not three plus one additional day! I took two pregnancy tests simply because I didn't know what else to think, but nope.

So now I'm just going to relax, rely on my tubal, and stop worrying about my period too. The reason I had surgery just 4 months ago (instead of waiting to see if insurance would cover it 100% in the future instead of 80%) was so that I could enjoy sex -- full intercourse, not being the "everything but" girl anymore -- without freaking over my ovulation date vs. super-sperm vs. condoms and all that rubbish.

Lol I've had my tubal, am still on the pill (I take it for reasons besides birth control) and still make my husband pull out.

Cream pies just gag me out. Seriously. Blowjobs don't, just cream pies. Something about the whole thought of semen in a vagina grosses me out. Color, consistency....the fact it's full of wiggly sperm....IN a vagina....nope. Too much like foreign invaders inside the body. Maybe if he had the time to go get snipped...MAYBE it wouldn't bother me. Who knows? Army never gives him enough time.

I admit, I get paranoid as well. I'm on the pill for 12 years without any problem, and I take it very carefully, but since I watched a couple of ''I didn't know I was pregnant'' episodes, I freak out, because it turns out having your period, isn't a guarantee??

My worst nightmare is to have an accident and discover it when it's too late.
I think I'll start doing tests every couple of months, just to have peace of mind, even if I am soooo careful with my pill.

In that tv show, they said that the risk of getting pregnant while taking the pill responsibly is 0,01 %. But they said that in average, women forget 1-2 pills a month, so the risk is 8%.

My first thought was, Who forgets 2 pills a month? I havent forgotten 2 in 12 years!

I was talking to my 23 year old nephew who casually mentioned some kind of fruit or food that helps you be more infertile. I should have paid more attention to what it actually was! Searching for anything on "how to be infertile" or "decrease fertility" is impossible online. "They" want you to search for "increase fertility" and "how to be fertile". Screw that! I want my infertility fruit!!

Quills, it only takes a couple days to recover. DH had his done on Friday and was back to work on Monday, so I don't know what kind of BS excuses your husband's chain of command is giving him, but it's definitely not got anything to do with actual time it takes to get the procedure done. DH was on a no-running profile for a week or so and that's it.

I think it might be because he's in charge of the Arms room and has to lift heavy stuff all day every day and couldn't do that during recovery. They make it hard to take leave as well since they can't REALLY find a replacement for him besides his assistant and everything goes to shit without him.

At least I hope that's why. Otherwise I am going to have to resist the urge to kill his chain of command one by one.
