Use of TCFL Chat:

• TCFL Forums members are encouraged to use their forum screen names in chat, to minimize identity confusion.
• No registration of any sort is required to use TCFL chat, but users are asked to comport themselves in a reasonable and polite manner, despite the option of anonymity.
• This chat room is public. All visitors to TCFL and Meebo have access to the current conversation and all Meebo users have access to the logs of previous conversations. Please keep this in mind when using chat.
• To send a private message, hover over the user’s nickname and click “Chat.”

Moderation:

• All Meebo chat rooms are configured to block swear words with asterisks. The writer sees the swear word, but his audience sees only *****. Complaints about this feature will be ignored.
• Meebo chat rooms are designed for self-moderation. Each user has the option to block another user, or to send a warning. (Hover over another user’s nickname to see these options.) If a user receives warnings from multiple people, his words will be muted for all. Don’t feed a troll. Silence him. Use the Warn feature.
• Some TCFL staff members are assigned as moderators of this chat room. They have additional moderation tools and will use them at their descretion to ensure the chat room retains a friendly, peaceful atmosphere.
